Our story
The promise the school was built on.
Every school says it cares about children. Ours was founded by a man who proved it first, and named after him so the promise couldn't be renegotiated. RPS Memorial Public School is an English-medium institution following a CBSE-pattern academic approach under the UP Board.
Est. 2023
Shri Ram Prakash Sharma taught in a one-room schoolhouse for 22 years.
He kept a ledger of every child who stopped attending, and walked to their homes to ask why. When he passed in 1997, his students — by then teachers, clerks, and farmers themselves — pooled savings to build the school he'd always wanted: proper classrooms, a library, and no child turned away for falling behind. RPS Memorial Public School opened its gates in 2023.
The ledger habit stayed. Every homeroom teacher at RPS still keeps one.

The school opens
Nursery to Class V classes established in Amethi, carrying the founder's legacy.
Junior classes added
Added Classes VI and VII to serve progression of first batches.
Resource center & activity labs
A dedicated junior science lab and computer reference area established.
Complete PG–VIII Span
Established full Pre-Primary (PG) to Class VIII range with 400+ students.

Principal's message
"We are not the biggest school in Amethi. We intend to stay that way."
Growth for its own sake was never the goal here — a teacher who knows every child's name was. As principal, my job is to protect that, even as we grow. I'd rather turn away an admission than turn a classroom into a crowd.
